NAUTICAL SCENE An excellent large 19t h century Continental oil painting, depicting a nautical scene with boats at sea, and a figure walking along the coastline at dusk. The painting has been executed to a very high standard, with bright colours and striking quality. Presented in a decent gilt frame, which compliments the piece well. Period: 19th Century Medium: Oil on canvas Category: Nautical Style: Realism Size (H x W): 34 cm x 43 cm (Un-Framed) 56 cm x 71 cm (Framed) Provenance: From a private estate in Oxford Condition: The painting has had a very decent quality reline. There are a few small areas of craquelure, but this is expected with the age. A truly wonderful piece, worth further research. The frame is brittle to the edges, with some loss.
