This is a really beautiful late 19th century majolica jug possibly made by Minton or Wedgwood but not sure. The jug is decorated with sprays of strawberry flowers, leaves and strawberries with a band of leaves and seed pods to top and bottom all in a raised design. The inside of the jug is pinky-mauve glazed and the handle is brown glazed. The jug is slightly bulbous towards the base and the under base has what I think is a decorator's mark. Overall size is 19cms height and maximum width is 13cms. General condition is excellent with no damage. A lovely example of 19th century majolica. Sold without reserve. Will accept cheque drawn on U.K. bank or Paypal. Shipping costs: U.K. £6.85 Small Parcel, Europe £10.75 or World Zone 2 £18.95
