Here is superb silver knitter's chatelaine, the bar, in shape of a luxurious key, pulls open to hold each end of the knitted needles. This chatelaine has a silver hook below the waist clasp to hold the ball of thread, and another one on one chain. A Victorian Jewellery, with romantic symbol! Embossed and chased, in a fine quality, silver is unmarked, probably Dutch. Size of this precious guards is serious ( 12cm x 9,5cm ). A rare to find collection item, second part of 1800s.
