THE SILVER BRITANNIA 1 OUNCE BULLION COIN.This Silver Britannia £2 coin is the largest and purest legal tender coin in the UK and is therefore Capital Gains Tax Free (CGT Exempt). A long tradition continues by using the Great British national symbol Britannia. Britannia's first appearance on British coinage was on the farthing in 1672.As usual, this British Silver Britannia contains one ounce of fine Silver, but this is the first year where the coin is not produced in Britannia Silver, rather it is a purer Silver coin at .999 purity. Quantites of 20 or greater are now supplied in Royal Mint Tubes.
