Large Antique Collectible Book "HISTORY OF TENNESSEE WITH SKETCHES OF GILES, LINCOLN, FRANKLIN AND MOORE COUNTIES ILLUSTRATED 1886". Illustrated with Pictures of David Cockett, Andrew Jackson, James K Polk and many more Including Historical Buildings. Civil War Map Sketches of Battle of Shiloh, Battle of Chickamauga, Battle of Murfreesboro, First Position of Confederates in Franklin and Battle of Nashville. There is a lot of Historical data and data included in this First Edition Book. In Overall Good Condition. Loose Binding at the very front and very end of Book. Bulk of Book Binding is quite secure. A few front pages missing (I think 2 or 3 with the Goodspeed Plate and Date Page. Still pages pre preface and continuing through the end. Signed "John Simmons Oct 12 1886" also marked Sgd E.J. Platt? A RARE and Wonderful piece of History with Great Sketches and detail of the Civil War. From what I understand this is one of 3 volumes by Goodspeed published in 1886. Worthy of ANY Collection or perhaps may become the Geneaology or Historical Data Source for Your Master Collection. Please ask questions! Payment must be received within 5 days of end of Auction.
