2 1920's Lg Dramatic Deco Hollywood Cloth Lamp Shades Item Description: This auction is for a pair of the most dramatic lamp shades I have ever seen. The date from the 1920's or 1930's and are fabric covered. The outside body of the shade is a light textured fabric in a cream color. The nubby bands at the top and bottom are a dark green, just lightly faded from age. I am not sure of the maker but they are definitely designer shades from the early Hollywood Regency Era. They have a solid metal frame and the fabric is very taut both the outside and inside lining. Each measures 22 1/2 inches in diameter, 5 1/2 inches at the top in diameter and are 7 inches high. They are in fabulous condition with no stains on the outside of the shades. T is a small stain on one on the inside, that you will never see when in place on your lamp. The second shade does have a rip on the lining as shown in the photo below. Again it will be hard to see when the shade is in place..I am sure that it could be repaired by some handy person, or a professional. Considering the age of this shades they are in outstanding condition a truly rare find. The metal frames alone are worth the low starting bid.
