Elegant Coalport Porcelain 2 Demitasse Cup & Saucer SetsHeavy Gold TrimNo ReserveYou are viewing two spectacular Coalport demitasse cup and saucer sets. They are done in delicate white porcelain with a cobalt and gold border below which is another gold border which opens to a stag head, also in heavy gold. I can't emphasize the "heavy" enough. The gold is really thick on these pieces. It almost feels embossed. It is beautiful.All of the pieces have the two marks as shown in the photo. I have identified the Coalport mark to be used from 1891-1927. The other mark reads "A B Daniell & Son" under which is "46 Wigmore Street" with "London W." below that. All four pieces are in very good condition. T are no chips, cracks or crazing. T is some very minor wear on the gold on the saucer w the cup sits and a worn spot on the stag head on the saucers. In every other way these look so good.The plate measures approximately 4.5 inches in diameter. The cup rim is not quite 2 inches in diameter. It stands approximately 2 inches tall. The stag head is so unusual and the double border completely sets it off. It would be a great addition to your fine porcelain collection and your table top.
