Up for auction is a lot of two (2) vintage to antique lockets. Each is different on the outside...both engraved and very pretty. One opens left to right, the other opens right to left both have well working clasps. They are gold filled of varying karat yet both are shiney yellow gold...without damage...and could use a rub with a polishing cloth. One has two photos complete with original insert border frames and celluloid protective sheets and an unsual removable tab bail...the other is set with a diamond. These have not been cleaned or polished and are sold as is, uncleaned. They are appropriately sized for use as pendants or charms or for some other creative re-use. In Pic 6, t is a U.S. Quarter Dollar coin to left-hand side of locket (Locket No. 2) to help you evaluate their sizes. Please see below for the particulars of each locket, refer to Photo 1, top locket is Locket # 1 and the bottom locket below-described is Locket #2. Locket #1: Sweet. Hallmarked on the interior lip of the locket: 1-20 12KGF. The photos haven't been removed so I am uncertain as to whether t any further markings under them...i.e., a maker's mark or etched in info. All parts are present on this piece: 'fancy' style tab bail with a floral design which co-ordinates with an old time flower and foliate design that drapes over a center shield shape (no monogram) read more
