This is a working pair of electrified Vintage Scott New Vigilant Brass Railroad Lanterns/Lamps. They were produced in the 1957s to the 1970s. These were bought to be used as props in an amusment park dark ride in the 1970s, but did not get used for this purpose, and have been stored ever since. They are a matching pair of large all brass lanterns/lamps with a red name tags, large fonts, handles, brass duplex burners (these are for looks as the electrical socket is in the hood), and a large glass globes. The red name tag says SCOTT LAMP CO. THE NEW VIGILANT RAILROAD LAMP SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. The glass globes have the impressed words Artoiler Corp. The stand approximately 21 1/2 inches tall without the handle raised, with the handle raised they are approximately 24 inches tall. The Font is 8 1/2 inches in diameter, and the hood is approximatley 14 inches in diameter. T are some vertical cracks or splits in each font. A few cracks or splits on the hoods. One hood has a small dent. (shown in pics) These do not take away from the overall apprerance or function of these lamps. Both lamps have an electrical cord with plug. They have a nice aged patina, but could use a good cleaning. The clear glass globes are in very good condtion with no chips or cracks.
