Very special, ornately-carved, vintage treen love-spoons from Wales, one with original artist's label, in 'as-made' condition. The dark one, looks like stained sycamore, has a ring, a heart and a barleycorn twist and a oval shaped bowl. The lighter colored one, probably beech, a Celtic cross with a stamped pattern between two hearts connected by scroll-work. Pointed tip bowl. Each spoon carved from a single piece of wood. Marks: Lighter colored spoon has original paper label that reads Hand Carved Love Spoons by W.E.Williams, Made in Wales . The other spoon is unmarked. Date: Mid 20th Century. Condition: Excellent. No problems. As good as the day they were made, better even, as now they have a wonderful glowing, well-cared-for patina. Absolutely no cracks, chips, slivers or repairs. Size: Lighter-colored spoon is 8.5 inches (21.5 cms) long and the darker one 8.25 inches (21.1 cms) long. I will gladly combine shipping for multiple purchases.
