2 Early American Pattern Glass "Squared Sunburst" or "Stellar" Wine Goblets ~Sun Purple~ This auction is for a pair (2) Early American Pattern Glass Wine or Water Goblets in the hard to find Squared Sunburst or Stellar pattern by U.S. Glass Co. ca. 1907. They measure 6 1/2" tall and hold 11 oz. They have no chips or cracks and the glass is bright and clear with no major scratching. They are a lovely shade of medium dark sun purple. We have a total of six of these lovely glasses listed and will be happy to combine shipping. Please keep in mind that this is old glass and won't be perfect and check out the pictures. Manganese was used in glass from the mid 1850's until WW1, around 1915, to keep glass clear and was found to cause the glass to turn this lovely 'sun purple' or 'sun kissed' when left in the sun. We picked up several pieces of sun glass at an estate sale and will be listing other pieces.
