These are 2 charming vintage, hand embroidered sampler pieces that are framed under glass. One features a little girl laying down with a kitten with wording "Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep I Pray Thee Lord My Soul to Keep". The other picture features a little boy in his pajamas with a puppy and wording "Now I Wake and See the Light Tis God Who Kept Me Through the Night". Both pictures in frames measure 9-3/4" x 12-3/4". I see a shadow light discoloration on the girl's picture which I have shown a close up picture of, it looks as if it could have been from a metal hoop. The boy's picture shows no staining that I see.
