This auction is for 2 Frankoma Pottery 1980 political mugs. One is a Democratic, the other is GOP. These mugs measure approximately 5 ¾ inches wide from edge of handle to tip of the donkey's nose and is 4 inches tall. The exterior is a signature Frankoma natural terra cotta matte finish. The interior is a solid white glaze with polished finish. No nicks, chips, hairlines or stains. Mold indicates 1980 on one side of rim; DEM. on the other. Bottom is mold marked with: Frankoma, U.S. Pat. D605-739. The GOP mug is marked "GOP" on one side and 1980 on other. The bottom is marked D 215-868.
