Two different photos of Bob Boyd, during his 1961 season with the Kansas City Athletics. One is a 5x7 1961 Jay Photo of Boyd, which is much clearer that the scan shows; the second is 3.5 x 5 inch color photo of Boyd, which he has autographed. Bob Boyd played for the Memphis Red Sox of the Negro Leagues from 1947-1949 and was later inducted into the Negro Leagues Hall of Fame. He broke into the Major Leagues, as the very first black player for the Chicago White Sox in 1951. He then played 10 years in the major leagues with the White Sox, Baltimore Orioles, Kansas City A's and Milwaukee Braves. He died in 2004. Winning bidder to add $3.00 for shipping via 1st Class Mail.
