Welcome Fellow Vintage and Antique Halloweâe(tm)en Enthusiasts! We canâe(tm)t wait for Autumnâe"falling leaves, cool crisp air, warm pumpkin pie, and âe¦ HALLOWEEN!!! Many of you know us as long-time vintage Halloweâe(tm)en collectors. is a SPOOKtacular pair of candy cups from our collection in SHOCKINGly fabulous condition! These are wonderful, AUTHENTIC, American-made antique papier mache or paper pulp pumpkin Jack oâe(tm) Lantern candy containers, ca. 1940s/50s with their ORIGINAL paint, and they are in NEAR MINT condition! These adorable candy cups measure 2 3⁄4âe wide x 2 1⁄2âe high x 2 1⁄2âe deep. These cups are in the classic smiling Jack-o-Lantern design. Old candy containers such as these were traditionally filled with candy or nuts, and were used as party favors and decorations for the table at those great old Halloweâe(tm)en parties of the 1940s and 1950s. Ziz remembers her âeoeMaâe filling hers with candy corn! An old candy cup just like these is featured on page 237 in Mark B. Ledenbachâe(tm)s outstanding book entitled âeoeVintage Halloween Collectibles: An Identification and Price Guide (Second Edition)âe. Markâe(tm)s example, however, retains its original paper cup liner. These cups are painted orange and have green hand-painted air-brushed features. The paint on these pieces is nearly perfect, with only a very few TINY specks of paint loss on the underside of one cup. But itâe(tm)s nothing too GRAVE! Rarely do you find candy cups of this age in this condition. The exact condition of these two cups is as follows: one cup is slightly darker in color and shinier than the other. This is the cup that has tiny specks of paint loss on the bottom seam. The other cup has NO PAINT LOSS. However, near this little Jackâe(tm)s endearing smile, t is a small area of thinned paint that is original to this piece. This was done in the manufacturing, and is NOT considered to be a flaw. If this cup had its paper cup liner it would be considered to be in MINT condition! These desirable vintage Halloween Jack O Lantern candy cups and decorations are a magnificent find, especially since they have seen at least 50-something Halloweâe(tm)ens! They would be an outstanding addition for your Halloween collection. They are a must-have for the collector. No BONES about it, we have SCARED up a great deal for true Halloween DIE-hards!
