MUCH TOUGHER DATED Full Gem Quality Saint Gaudens Double Eagle 1923-D in Mint State 65 !!! Here is a very tough dated Saint to find in this condition and tougher. NGC in all of their years of grading coins have only graded exactly 43 of these in MS-67 and a single coin in MS-68 for a total of 44 coins graded higher than this gem. Only a few of them have also received the CAC sticker meaning that they approve the grade this gem received too. That makes it a pretty special gem. This is a very pretty Saint as it has a nice amount of luster and sparkle to it on both dies. This is another of the coins I was actually saving this one for a rainy day so to speak, but in my life it is raining at this time, so I am going to sell one of my priced coins. This coin's best feature are its being so clean and free of ticks and marks and its strike. Both of those items make this a very special Saint. Also, its eye appeal is very nice. Most importantly to me is also the fact that the coin doesn't have any toning spots on it. I don't like it when Gold coins have toning spots as to me it detracts from the coins eye appeal. This is a really nice Saint that is a very tough coin to find in gem condition or higher and one that's got that pure gem look to it. Gold in general right now is a great investment.
