This auction is for one, the original Starbucks collectible Hear Music card from 2003 (Hear Music) in unswiped condition with pin intact as shown. Collectible only. Actual card shown. "Hear Music"Starbucks had introduced an innovative and interactive coffeehouse in Santa Monica (on the beach in Los Angeles) called HEAR MUSIC. (read more about it below) This new store opened March 16th, 2004 and offered this exclusive Starbucks card to their customers. It features an "artsy" blue image of a CD, true to form of the store concept. On March 12, 2007 Starbucks and Concord Music Group launched the Hear Music record label.The company's first artist signing was considered a huge coup, with former Beatle Paul McCartney defecting from his long-time label EMI on March 21, 2007. At the same time that Starbucks closed 600 coffeehouses in July 2008, it was announced that the Hear Music label would be shutting down. No further cards for Hear Music will be manufactured by Starbucks. All Hear Music memorabilia is highly collectible.
