"100th Anniversary St. Louis World's Fair 1904-2004" 2004 Anheuser-Busch Collector's Club Annual Membership SteinHand-crafted in Brazil by the artisans of Ceramarte in 2004, this Lidded Anheuser-Busch "100th Anniversary St. Louis World's Fair" Stein (CB28) is the Annual Collector's Club Membership Stein released for the year 2004. Designed by six-time membership stein artist Jim Wainwright, this 9 1/4 inch tall stein commemorates the largest fair the world has ever seen: 62 nations and 43 states on more than 1,200 acres of land. Anheuser-Busch played a key role in the fair and the company's premier beer Budweiser was enjoyed by fair-goers throughout the years. Two period advertisements appear on the sides of the stein, each using different pictures (but the same words) to show the popularity of the brewery as a Fair destination. The back of the stein features an illustration of Grant's cabin. This particular stein also features a sculpted handle, a decorative pewter thumbrest and a pewter lid with a raised ceramic globe sculpture. The 2004 Membership Stein is brand new and comes with its original box and packaging, as well as a certificate of authenticity. It is a retired, limited edition piece, is numbered #06973 and was only available to new club members in the 2004 year making it an extremely rare and difficult stein to find. This read more
