Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was presented with this City of Los Angeles Resolution declaring February 22nd, 2007 as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar "On the Shoulders Of Giants" Day in Los Angeles. "On the Shoulders of Giants" is both a book and movie by Abdul-Jabbar, telling the story of the Harlem Renaissance by focusing on the legendary basketball team bearing the same name. This resolution has been signed by Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, President of the Los Angeles City Council and current Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, and more than a dozen other members of the Los Angeles City Government. This Resolution is displayed in a 19 x 29-inch frame. It comes with a LOA signed by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
