Feel free to compare the DSR's. NOTICE - T he US Mint is using a different tube/roll for Silver Eagles. The new tube/roll looks like the same white/clear tube and green lid, but the tube is LONGER and the coins are fitting in it much looser. The tube appears to be approx 1 coin longer (compared side by side to an older tube) and does allow for some coin movement. This change is strictly based by on the US Mint, NOT the sellers or wholesalers of these products . I have to admit last year 2008 was quite the year. Sky rocketing premiums, volatile spot pricing, Mint rationed deliveries, and very limited supply as it seemed demand was off the charts or at least that is something I had said, along with many others. Now with the year 2008 out of the way, and some Mint sales numbers tentatively posted, it seems 2008 shows a mintage of 20.5 + million coins. Kind of a bad number for numismatic purposes, but to put it into perspective, the previous high was in 1987 (the 2nd year of the ASE program) with 11,442,335 coins. So does a 9+ million coin blowout increase over the previous indicate what demand is for Silver Eagles these days? 2009 is continuing the 2008 trend - over 18,764,500 coins sold in the first 8 months of this year. To put these number into historical perspective, gives us a projection of approx. 27-28 mil coins - thus blowing out the new high from 2008 and an almost 50% increase over 2008 (the new high) and 165% increase over the previous 20 year high of 1987. Only another 819,000 and 2009 will surpass 2008. At present, 2009's mintage is the 2nd highest of the series you are looking at over 29 mil coins Silver demand is smoking hot! Silver spot price is even hotter!~ **************************************************************************************** To proactively answer some questions in advance (because I always get them) Congrat's to those that actually read the listings. It appears that several buyers have wised up to the deception of some other sellers. Be sure to read other sellers listings carefully- I now see another seller NOT saying "pre-sale" in the listing, but rather using the handling time listed in the top of the auction under the bid window/box of up to 20 days Shipping and Handling! (Read the listings folks!). The failure to clearly disclose this fact should be a telling sign of the level of honesty this 'seller' has. Judging by some newer feedback, it seems some people have been fooled and aren't happy about. Don't be tricked by shenanigans like this. No, I don't search the rolls. I don't have the time to and it isn't worth it anyway. These are fresh from green monster boxes, I put tape over the lid to ensure a safer travel to the buyer. If that bothers you, take the tape off. The 2009 Mint sticker with barcode on the backdrop in the picture (right side) on the monster box lid- that doesn't come with the roll. I am selling these as Gem Brilliant Uncirculated bullion (worthy of a MS65 grade or better), and again have stated, I don't search them.
