2009-S LINCOLN CENT 4 COIN CAMEO PROOF SET -MADE FROM SAME COMPOSITION AS 1909 CENTS - 95% COPPER Each Lincoln S Proof one-cent coin has a composition of 95% copper, its original metal content when introduced in 1909. The P and D one-cent coins no longer contain this composition of copper and never will. This set contains all four different one cent coins in recognition of the bicentennial of President Abraham Lincoln's birth and the 100th anniversary of the first issuance of the Lincoln cent. Lincoln's image, like all Lincoln cents appears on the obverse of each one-cent coin. The reverses reflect four different designs, each one representing a different aspect, or theme, of the life of President Lincoln: Birth and Early Childhood in Kentucky (1809-1816), Formative Years in Indiana (1816-1830), Professional Life in Illinois (1830-1861), and Presidency in Washington, D.C. (1861-1865). These Proof coins are extraordinarily brilliant, with sharp relief and a mirror-like background. Their frosted, sculpted foregrounds give them a special cameo effect. The U.S. Mint proof blanks are specially treated, polished and struck at least twice to ensure this sharp relief. The proof coins are then packaged in a protective lens to showcase and maintain their exceptional finish. Your Proof set will come in this protective display case, exactly read more
