2016 Niue $2 1 Oz Colorized Proof Silver Kings of the Continents - African Lion NGC PF70 UC SKU40553Why Order This PF70 UC 2016 Niue 1 oz. African Lion?In 2016, Niue began issuing the Kings of the Continents series. This African Lion is the first design of the lineup. While it was issued for Niue, it was actually struck by the New Zealand Mint. It's made of .999 fine silver and weighs 1 Troy oz. The mintage limit for this design is set at 5,000 coins. It has a proof finish and portions of it have been colorized.Ian Rank-Broadley's portrait of Queen Elizabeth II can be seen on the obverse. This effigy is widely used and has plenty of fine details. The reverse displays a lion in front of an African landscape. The lion looks quite ferocious and has been colorized.The Numismatic Guaranty Corporation was chosen to grade this coin.
