This amazing early 20th Century piece is by Finnish Artist MARGARETA AHLSTEDT-WILLANDT (1888-1967) -3 Poikka -3 Gossar translates to "3 Boys"woven material- not sure what the make-up is. jute like- wool possibly. no hanger on the back - would hang on hooks on the wall or propped over a mantle.the tapestry measures 16" x 14 1/4" - the metal frame is 17 1/8" x 20 3/8" - the colors fit well in a mid century modern home. it's in very good condition- has a metal frame with strings attaching the tapestry. you might want to replace the strings- some have broken-(still attached) has a label on the back and XX in an oval with the intials EH woven into the design on the front.from Wikipedia:Margareta Ahlstedt-Willandt (August 27, 1889 in Helsinki [1], s. 1888 to 1967 [2]) was a Finnish textile artist.
