West Sumatran (Padang), Indonesian amber is a fairly recent find. This amber possesses a variety of colors. Up for purchase is a beautiful, large, 21.6 gram, polished piece of extremely rare West Sumatra (Sumatera), Padang amber from Indonesia with a dark green color. Padang is the capital of the West Sumatran province of Indonesia. I hand-sanded and polished the piece from rough originating from Indonesia. It was mined from the earth in the Indonesian province of Sumatra or Sumatera (western region). No treatment of any kind was done to this to enhance the color. The known quantity of this material is considerably less than that of Dominican green amber. I also have pieces of West Kalimantan Borneo Blue, Sulawesi Blue amber and West Papua Blue amber for sale which exhibits a unique blue color. A piece such as this would make a great addition to any fossil or gemstone collection. The piece weighs 21.6 grams (105 carats), and has a length of 48 mm, width of 20 mm, and height of 20 mm. Please see all the pictures that were taken in natural sunlight. Please see my very rare burmese (burmite) amber pieces for sale along with the Dominican amber that has a variety of insect, botanical, and other types of inclusions. A SPECIAL NOTE CONCERNING BUYERS FROM GERMANY : Due to problems I have had with items reaching their destination
