The Token in the photos (#2158) is the Token that will be shipped to the buyer. DESCRIPTION: This is an obsolete 1967 $5 sterling silver casino gaming token from CAESARS PALACE on the Las Vegas Strip. These sterling silver tokens were not produced to be used on the gaming tables (regular metal alloy tokens were used for that), but rather they were complimentary souvenir give-aways from casino executives to high rollers. They were produced in small quantities, and are rare; hard to find. SIZE: Approximately 1 1/2 inch in diameter - Weight: 1.4 ounce CONDITION: Uncirculated Proof-Like CAESARS PALACE HISTORY : Using $35M borrowed from the Teamsters Union, original owner Jay Sarno opened CAESARS PALACE on the Las Vegas Strip in August, 1966. It is one of the most famous hotel/casinos in the world, and under various owners, has operated continuously for forty-eight years.
