This is a listing for only 1 motor which is Swiss made Portescap, (escap) 2 mm shaft 22 mm (Diameter) coreless motor with 5 poles and about 32 mm long. This is Coreless can motor for high end brass or plastic loco. It flywheels several seconds and thats enough to coast you through dirty trackwork for several inches to prevent stalling the steam or diesel locomotive through dirty or rough track.Request Pictures of installation in 4-8-4!!Some do not have factory lead wires. just factory motor terminals.With a sleeve and flywheel this motor will coast 20 seconds!! This listing does not include a flywheel.This listing is for a single 2 mm by 8 mm shaft. This is a Swiss made precision 5 Pole coreless motor with precious metal brushes (silver and gold). This 5 pole coreless motor is 22 mm diameter and 32 mm long in the body. These motors flywheel 5 to 10 seconds when power is interrupted no load and in the locomotive your engine will coast a few inches through dirty or rough trackwork!! With a small flywheel mounted on the single shaft it will really coast nicely. Motorman can make custom flywheels to fit your space.Because this is a large motor it will only fit in the largest old HO Rivarossi Steam, The short locomotive pictured is a Rivarossi 2-8-4 berkshire and may require some work to fit a center shaft assembly in that offset system. Also because the gearhead is offset then it is shorter than the regular center shaft gearheads with the same ratio!!These motors will power the older HO Rivvy mallett, cab forward, challenger or big boy!! With the offset drive system.The HO cab forward pictured has coreless 16 mm by 24 motors with center shaft gearheads in 6.3 ratio and required milling of the chassis---A single motor at the rear may be easier to install. 2 of the 2020 or 2630 gearmotors motors will work.Both 1624E Faulhaber motors in the Cab forward (the dual motors pictured) because they are coreless and are so efficient!! They only draw 250 milliamps at 12 volts and full wheel slip in the cab forward pictured!!The two 6 volts motor in the cab forward pictured has 6.3 to 1 ratio and hits about 45 miles per hour at 12 volts and will coast for 12 to 14 inches after power is turned off!!!
