T is no maker's mark on this lovely rule, but it is almost certainly English because of the numbering and all the middle plates (I assume that the MRC stamp belongs to the original owner). All joints are very tight. All three pins are present with no wallowing. Virtually all of the original finish remains. The rule folds up nice and flat... the only issue in this regard is the very slight gap you see in the first picture. Also, t is a slight loss of wood along one side of the arch joint which I tried to capture in the edge-on photo. I suspect that this loss, which is less than 1/16 th in depth, was present in the original blank, as the faces of the arch joint which surround it show no signs of trauma. Perhaps this is the reason that t is no maker's mark. Other than a couple dings (most notably the one on the inside edge at 3/8 inch, picture two) this is about as nice a rule as you will find. Paypal orUSPS money orders only please.
