This is a model of a DE-413, USS Samuel B. Roberts. Roberts was a destroyer escort from the Butler class. She had two 5-inch guns and 10 40mm AAA guns, 3 21-inch torpedo tubes, as well as hedghog and depth charges. She was part of Task Force 77.4.3 and was a part of the screen of destroyers and destroyer escorts that faced down the Imperial Navy's Center Force in the Battle of Samar. She was sunk by three shells from the Battleship Kongo. The model wears US Navy MS 21 camouflage--Navy Blue. The ship is nicely painted. She has been given several finish coats to protect the paint. She is made of pewter. This ship will look great as part of your fleet of fleet. The ship is made by GHQ and is 1/2400 scale* . *Know about scale before you buy.
