This is a model of a Liao Ning (aka Shi-Lang ), China's first aircraft carrier. The aircraft carrier was built as the Russian Varyag and sold to China by the Ukraine. The Chinese completely rebuilt the ship and commissioned it in 2012. The ship is designed to carry upto 30 aircraft and 24 helicopter. This model of Liao Ning is outstanding. The decals are extensive and superb--the hull number is 16. This model of the Liao Ning carries 10 J-15 fighters on deck along with four Z-8 helicopters. This GHQ model of the ship is large even at 1/2400 scale. The aircraft wear the gray camouflage with dark grey nose cone and tail fin tops. The helicopters are gray as well. Neither the aircraft or helicopters are glued so you can move them where you want or I can glue them for you. She has been given several finish coats to protect the paint. She is made of pewter. The ship has two finish coats. This ship will look great as part of your fleet of Chinese warships. The ship is made by GHQ and is 1/2400 scale* .
