I am pleased to offer you this wonderful old sleepy eye baby doll, 1930s. Unmarked as many dolls were I do not know her maker or history but will try to describe her the best I can. Reference shows similar made by Ideal, Acme, Alexander during this period. Measures 25" tall with flange (no cracks)on cloth stuffed mama doll type body with non-working crier in the back. She has composition hands with fingers intact, pink on the top portion of hands, Legs are composition up to over knee with mama doll type cloth body. She retains pink blush on her knee area. Body shows some old built in dirt, scuffs but nothing terrible. This baby doll has a Beautiful face with open and close sleepy eyes that work fine, eye color does "show wear", retains upper human hair lashes on the eye lids, painted lower lashes with single stroke brown brows, a little paint wear. Doll has open mouth with two upper chunky teeth and felt tongue. Dark brown painted molded "curly" hair is very detailed, I notice a little paint wear and a few scratches throughout the hair areas. Some scuffs throughout face and old built in dirt. I have not attempted to clear her in any way and leave to the new owner. Wears a antique gown, full slip, stockings and shoes.
