Large 27" santa "Candy Container" by artist: Kathy Patterson For auction is a wonderful santa candy container that looks very old. He stands 27" high and his base is 6-1/2" X 7-1/2"and is signed/2004. His coat is a faded peachy color with faux fur trim around the bottom and down the front. His cap also is trimmed in this fur. He holds a goose feather tree that looks to be very old. Santa has a bag of coal tied to his belt that reads "A little bit Naughty". This santa comes apart in the middle to reveal a large cardboard cylinder to hide candy or surprises. I read on ebay that Kathy no longer makes these candy containers and that her work has become highly collectible, therefore is selling for a very high price. This santa is used but in VG condition, only displayed during the holidays and then back into storage. We are downsizing and reluctantly selling most of our collectible santas and other things. We have one more large santa by Kathy Patterson and not sure yet if we can part with him now or after christmas...if so, he will be listed sometime during the holiday season. This santa looks old and will fit the early 1900's period and I believe he is highly collectible. He will make a wonderful addition to any Christmas collection. So if you like him, don't pass him up.
