Argyll & Sutherland Buttons, No1. Dress Doublet Set For offer is a full set of 28 Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders Staybrite Buttons for a No1. Dress Doublet worn with kilt or trews. T are a total of 28 X 25mm buttons for the front, Cuffs, Inverness Skirts, Epaulettes, and Back of the doublet. All of the buttons have the shank and are in excellent condition, many un-issued, ready to be attached to a doublet. The button set does not include the retaining loops/clips, but these can be obtained at any craft/hobby store and will save one from sewing on the buttons. Alternatively, safety pins can also be used to secure the buttons to the doublet. The unique and various buttons of the Scottish Regiments are becoming more rare now due to the recent amalgamation earlier this year of the remaining 6 Scottish regiments into one "super" regiment of 5 Bns - The Royal Regiment of Scotland, with all members now wearing the same uniform and buttons of the new regiment. These would make a great addition to any Scottish military collection, and also great for Re-enactors or Fancy Dress. Offer is for Buttons only and does NOT include the Dress Doublet that is for reference only.
