2nd Vintage 1930's McClelland Barclay Fur Clip

After some hesitation, I have decided to list this second McClelland Barclay fur clip. It is identical in design to the other one I have up on auction. My hesitation was due to the fact that one of the pear-shaped amethyst stones has some nicks along one edge and one on the top. In addition, the other pear-shaped stone has a perfectly round hole in the side, which really looks to be a manufacturing flaw to me. Now, please keep in mind my photos are greatly enlarged to show every detail, so obviously, these flaws are not that visible to the naked eye. The fur clip still presents beautifully. In addition, more of the clear chaton rhinestones are original than not - t are replacements on one side. And, one rhinestone is missing, which I can replace if you like. Unlike the other fur clip, the metal on this one is in excellent shape. It is bright and shiny. Also, the signature shows up completely and clearly. So, I've decided to leave it to you to weigh the pros and cons of both clips! This wonderful old fur clip was designed by McClelland Barclay in the 30's. His designs were absolutely brilliant; but unfortunately, his career was cut short by being killed in action in 1943. Barclay's geometric designs are very distinctive - and quite rare.
