Dicranurus Trilobite Cast Size (Overall): 4.68" x 4.05" x 1.4" 119mm x 103mm x 36mm Weight: 20 oz 566 grams Location: Anti-Atlas Mountains, Morocco 3.3" Dicranurus Trilobite fossil cast on matrix made in Morocco. The Trilobite cast measures 3.35"x 3" (85mm x 77mm) and is embedded atop matrix measuring over 4 1/2". This cast was meticulously made by hand in Morocco. Trilobites are extinct arthropods. They had a heavy exoskeleton composed of calcium, calcium phosphate minerals, and protein, tfore leaving behind a well preserved fossil record. The Dicranurus Trilobite is one of the most unique types of Trilobite, and a true Dicranurus Trilobite fossil in good condition can easily be priced over $1000. Unfortunately, a number of unscrupulous dealers sell these beautiful casts as authentic fossils for large sums of money. Sometimes dealers may sell these as authentic, not knowing that it is indeed a cast.
