This lot includes 3 hubbard type pole nails. These were used to mark street lamp poles to indicate the lumen rating of the street lamp. They are in excellent clean condition. These have been cleaned and sprayed with clear lacquer to preserve the luster. This type nail is called a hubbard due to the fact the Hubbard & Co, a utility supply company marketed the lion's share of this type of nail and the words Hubbard Company appeared on the back side of the heads of many of them. They are about 2" long and the head on the small type is 1" in diameter . I believe these originate with the Potomac Edison Company. Winning bidder pays $3.00 shipping.
