Up for auction are 3 vintage German nutcrackers. 1. Steinbach viking nutcracker stands about 11 1/4" tall. He is missing one button on his shield and the paint on his outfit in the back is cracking (see 5th picture). He has his Steinbach sticker on the bottom but at some point it must have fallen off and is now in place with a peice of scotch tape over it along with S439. One arm also needs to be glued back onto its dowel. 2. Fisherman nutcracker, I am not sure of its maker, he has no markings on the bottom but I do know that it is German because I remember when I bought him, his box said made in Germany. His one arm also needs to be glued back on to its dowel, he has some paint loss on hand and shoulder and it looks as though someone may have glued his arm at the elbow at some time. He has a fishing pole in one hand and some fish in the other, he may have been holding something else but I can not be certain. His hair and beard are real fur and stands about 13 1/2 inches tall. 3. German nutcracker, on the bottom t is a name that starts with Ro but the rest of the letters are too faint to read it also says Made in the GDR (German Democratic Republic). He also has real fur hair and beard and he is holding a mug of beer in one hand. The only flaws on him are on his hat (see 3rd picture) t is a feather missing (w the hole is) and read more
