30 Neodymium Magnets 1/8 inch Sp N48 Round Rare Earth You are buying ONE lot of 30 Magnets. Size: 1/8 inch diameter spNickel (Ni) Plated (silver-like shine)Grade: N48 - Extremely powerful magnetic material These sps are axially magnetized. The easiest way to picture the poles is to imagine the earth with an axis running through it from the north pole to south pole. If you are using these to make a bracelet, the total length for one set (30) 1/8" sps is 3.75 inches. I would recommend 2-3 sets. The metal coating is durable, but ALL Neodymium magnets can chip or shatter. If used gently, these magnets can serve you for a lifetime. Three primary factors determine the cost to manufacture neodymium magnets - the grade of material (or "N" rating), the size of the magnet, and the shape of the magnet. Blocks and discs are easier to manufacture than sps. The manufacturing techniques have only recently been perfected to allow mass production of spherical neo magnets. This explains the higher cost of a 3/4" sp vs. a 3/4" cube or 3/4" cylinder. These Neodymium Iron Boron magnets are also known as "Rare Earth" or NdFeB magnets.
