This is not a printed book) Parish Registers volume 1 - North England 300+ register transcripts, see below for complete list (Some parishes may have been counted into total more than once where separate transcriptions of different registers for various dates have been transcribed, particularly when they occur in different books) General Parish Registers (Content is as found in original publication and may not include complete registers. Many of the volumes we offer contain christenings, marriages and burials , but this may not be the case for this particular volume. Generally we will indicate when content is restricted, but please enquire before bidding if details are required or you have specific requirements. Dates show earliest and latest entries and may not apply to all sections. Some registers are published over several volumes, not all of which are available to us, but feel free to enquire. Dates indicate range of records, not all years may be available, depending on original records and transcription .) Transcripts from original registers made and published in the late 19th and early 20th century. (except where description states otherwise) These early volumes are now out of print but are available as images of original volumes in pdf format presented on CDs. Many are directly searchable from the pdf and the majority have indexes within the volume ( please ask for details of particular volumes if required) Following requests for an economic way to share our records we have combined our complete collection of general parish records, including in most cases births, marriages and burials, and have presented it on two volumes on DVD. Each DVD has a set of interactive menus to assist finding and loading the required parishes. Many of the individual files are searchable, and the majority include an index. As with any transcription it is advisable to verify the original parish registers which may also contain additional useful information. Following requests for parishes that we have information from, but have not published, a number of transcripts from our collection are now published for the first time. Please note: This selection will contain our previously issued files plus many that we have not previously edited and issued. It is our intention to supply good quality, accessible records, however, this compilation will include a few new pieces that have not necessarily been edited to the same standard that our single register discs have been subjected. We welcome feedback to assist any correction for future releases, but a few individual files supplied will be of lower resolution than the rest, please ask first if further information is needed. Other new personal transcripts are also included .These records will require a pdf reader, which is available without charge if you do not already have Adobe Acrobat Reader or a similar program. Please ask if you require help with this. Note: Requires DVD drive on your pc. Will not work in CD drives.
