THIS IS MY FOURTH AND FINAL BOX UNTIL LATE SPRING, OR EARLY SUMMER. This is the LAST of my material! This lot weighs in at 30 pounds almost even. This is the last of the good rock and ore that I have. I had to pull some specimens from my own collection that I really didn't want to let go, because some of these localities have been buried or blasted over. The inside dimensions of this box are about 11" X 8.5" X 5.5". The box is full. I plan to have more material available around June, but it depends on the snow, mud, and the weather in general. This is a lot of 30 pounds of assorted Lead, Silver, Zinc, Copper, and Gold ores, as well as mineral specimens from North Eastern Washington State, much of which is from various localities within the Metaline Mining District. I want to say before I get started, this is going to be the last box for quite some time, if you dont want to wait, you are welcome to bid. Of all the hand picked samples from a variety of mines and tailings piles, I can't keep everything I bring home, and I know a lot of you can't get out and rock hunt, and many of you may never make it to this part of the country. If you are an Earth Science teacher, or a Geology professor, you will find a vast variety of geologies and minerologies inside this box. If you are into lapidary, or simply collecting rocks, and perhaps even just curious about what exactly is on the other side of the country, this is a good assortment to get your curiosity going. But I do want to say I will be bringing much better material home to list this year.Full information on localities and deposits these samples are from will be disclosed to the winning bidder, but if anything is of specific interest to you, feel free to inquire, I will answer as well as possible. If you go to and type in "Pend Oreille County" and or "Stevens County" into the locality search, those counties in Washington State are w Ive gotten most of these samples from, and you will be able to see what is typical for this area in the way of specimens and etc. Any mine that did not have an active claim on it, or was otherwise open to the public was fair game. I do not highgrade other people's claims, nor do I trespass.What you will find in this box:High grade Galena which is Lead/Silver ore, very heavy, beautiful.Lots of micro-mount specimens (small pyrite crystals, as well as other metallic specimens in host rock, also some micro crystals in some of the rock) Just look closely!T is a Gemmy material on a white host rock, which I have not identified yet, but t is some Garnet in the matrix, as well as small books of Mica.Chalcopyrite, Bornite, Sphalerite, Smithsonite, Cerrusite, Pyrite, Siderite, Tetrahedrite, Native Silver, Malachite, Blue Agate (Which the locality has been buried over and I know of no other sources around , Yellow Dolomite. I even through in a chunk of rough emerald from locations unknown. Also t appears to be some Molybdenite as well.T is a decent amount of rusty quartz showing various mineralizations, mineral content unknown and unverified, but it is clearly richly mineralized.Most of the goodies may lay inside some of these rocks.
