ART DECO MACHINE AGE EXTRAORDINARY PRECIOUS ROSEWOOD WALL WEATHERSTATION FEATURES BARO-, THERMO- AND HYGROMETER. GERMANY c.1930 Offering to you the very finest antiques and rarest collectibles I have been collecting throughout the years travelling to many European countries. I have decided to re-decorate my entire home and are selling a wide variety of fine quality pieces from my own collection, your chance to obtain some precious treasures from the "Old World".... Description Out of my hallway I am selling this all original and extraordinary precious rosewood wall weather station. Manufactured in Germany by the famous Lufft, well known for their high quality scientific instruments ( modell 711 ) around the 1930s. Very few have survived in this fully functional, complete and undamaged condition! This very high quality frenchpolished rosewood case and instruments incased with copper bezels is very typical for the Art Deco period and can be found in important collecting books. This weatherstation is one of the rarest examples with the very sought after satinblack with satingold instrument scales with satingold and satinblack lettering! Features two airplane cockpit alike semi hemispherical instruments in which the Thermometer ( measures in degrees Celsius ) and Hygrometer ( relative humidity ranging from 20% to 100% ) can be clearly seen and a center placed square Barometer ( measures in Torr/Millimeters/ hPa ). All the instruments are in fully functional condition! The wall weatherstation really stands out and is a real joy to look at....it`s almost impossible to capture the true beauty in just a couple of pictures....so much nicer in real! Truly an unique and very interesting collectible that can be placed on a level surface or can be mounted on the wall in your home....and then just enjoy! Investment grade piece, very hard to find! Condition All original and excellent condition. Nothing missing, damaged or broken. Beautiful glossy rosewood and copper without flaws! Only some very minor signs of wear and patination built up through the years that only underline the authenticity and add character to this rare piece.
