This item is for a complete set of new bagged aftermarket decals, see below for a description. Decal Manufacturer: Large Scale Planes (LSP) Title: Thunderbolts of the 405thFighter Group 2007 IPMS Special Ref: #LSP32006 Scale: 1/32 Decals: The five sheets contain decals for two United States Army Air Force (USAAF) Republic P-47D Thunderbolt aircraft of the 9th Air Force (AF), both serving with the 405th Fighter Group (FG), one with the 509th Fighter Squadron and one with the 510th FS. The first main sheet or water slide decals includes Black bureau numbers for the tail surfaces, Black aircraft codes, fantastic nose art in the form of White and Black “ Ka nsas T ornado II ” titles alongside artwork of a ‘tornado’ caricature, the later supplied in two parts on the two smaller sheets, for the 510th FS P-47 and the option of either Black or Red “ BALLS OUT ” titles with one and two part art work of a large charging Black ‘bull’ with a separate White splash to place under the horns on the cowling ring for the 509th FS P-47, several styles of mission and victory markings, Black pilot names including Capt . H. J. Curra n, crew chief and ground crew names and White stars on Blue discs for the wheel covers of the 510th FS P-47 “Kansas Tornado II”. The second main sheet of dry rub on decals includes additional Black bureau numbers, additional nose art in the form of either Black or Red “ BALLS OUT ” titles and the White dust clouds kicked up by the charging ‘bull’ art work supplied as water slide decals for the 509th FS P-47 and White and Black “ Ka nsas T ornado II ” titles for the 510th FS P-47, additional mission and victory markings and Black pilot and ground crew names, two styles of propeller manufacturer markings and one complete set of comprehensive data/stencils including data blocks, Red no step blocks for the wing roots, Yellow data blocks, CANOPY RELEASE , FUEL FILLER SUITABLE FOR AROMATIC FUELS , NO STEP , NO PUSH , STEP , WATER DRAIN VENT LINE etc and Black stripes indicating a kick step . The two smaller water slide sheets contain the detailed nose art artwork of the ‘tornado’ and a separate White background for the ‘tornado’ artwork for the nose of the 510th FS P-47. There are sufficient decals to complete one of the two P-47D Thunderbolt aircraft from the sheet in full using kit Stars and Bars. Both the P-47’s are finished in natural metal overall. The 509th FS P-47 has Red spinner, Red cowl ring, a Red fin strake and Red canopy framing. The 510th FS P-47’s has Dark Blue canopy framing, a Black nose cowl ring and half D-Day invasion stripes on the fuselage. Also includes a very detailed double sided A4 colour placement guide showing side profiles and black and white images of the actual aircraft and a second double sided A4 black and white data/stencil guide.
