Decal Manufacturer: AirDoc Title: F-4F Norm 90J – Air Defence Camouflage Markings Ref: 32-01 Scale: 1/32 Decals: The two sheets, A and B, contain decals to make at least one of any of the West German Air Force or modern Luftwaffe McDonnell Douglas F-4F Phantom II aircraft serving with Jagdgeschwader (JG) 71 “Richthofen”, JG 72 “Westfalen”, JG 73 “Steinhoff”, JG 74 “Mölders” and Jagdbombergeschwader (JaboG) 35, with ten specific examples provided on the placement guides, see below, and two United States Air Force (USAF) F-4F Phantom II’s, both ex-Luftwaffe aircraft, serving with the 20th Fighter Squadron (FS) “Silver Lobos”, 49th Fighter Wing (FW) at the Holloman AB, New Mexico . Sheet A includes a paired set of Black edged in White German 0 - 1 code numbers, with two of each digit provided, bar the digit 7 where 3 pairs are provided, a smaller style of numbers Dark Grey stenciled numbers 0 – 1 for the gear doors, JG 71 “ Richthofen”, JG 7 2 “Westfalen”, JG 73 “Steinhoff”, J G 7 4 “Mölders” and Jabo G 35 unit badges, Luftwaffe nose art in the form of Black “Bitte ein Bit” titles over nine Yellow aircraft profile mission markings and Tactical Leadership Program (TLP) 95 titles, art work of the “Spook” cartoon, Red shadowed in Black titles “WASSISS’N CREW” above and below a small “Spook” cartoon, Blue “WiR HABENFERTiG!!! PEACE ON YOU…” titles for the nose of one of the JG 74 F-4F’s, Yellow JABOG and Yellow/Blue JAHRE titles and Yellow darts for the tail of the 35th Anniversary scheme of the JaboG 35 F-4F, White shadowed in Blue 6000Fh titles and a side profile of a F-4F title for the nose of the second JG 74 F-4F, pilot and ground crew names, a set of Luftwaffe “Iron crosses”, small Luftwaffe fin flashes, Dark Grey lo-vis USAF 20th FS , 49th FW and Air Combat Command unit badges, Dark Grey USAF bureau numbers, Dark Grey USAF HO tail codes and a set of Dark Grey outlined Stars and Bars for the fuselage and wing surfaces. Sheet B includes the Red and Yellow bands for the nose and the large Yellow 35 numbers, to be placed on Blue painted tail surfaces, for the JaboG 35 F-4F, There are sufficient decals to complete at least one Luftwaffe or one USAF F-4F Phantom II aircraft from the sheet in full. All the Luftwaffe and USAF F-4F’s are finished in the Norm 90J scheme of Dark Compass Ghost Grey FS 36320 and Grey Blue FS 35237 uppers over Light Compass Ghost Grey FS 36375 and Dark Compass Ghost Grey FS 36320 lowers – One of the JG 72 F-4F’s has a Green rudder, Green half stabilizer surfaces, Green wing tips and Green front nose gear doors. The tail surfaces of the 35th Anniversary JaboG 35 F-4F are finished in Dove Blue. The two USAF F-4F’s have had the original Luftwaffe markings over-painted. Also includes a detailed six page A5 colour booklet style placement guide showing side, upper and lower profiles with detailed descriptions of each aircraft.
