Listed as `used` as I bought this very interesting kit a while ago. The kit has never been started and all the dark grey parts [ photo # 2 ] are still sealed in their plastic bag [ the four clear parts do not have a bag but they are all there ] and so `as new` would have been a more accurate description. I am listing several interesting kits as a back injury means that I can no longer sit in a normal `modelling-making` position for more than half an hour and so they might as well go somewhere they can be enjoyed. The Wildcat won renown during the early stages of the war in the Pacific when it was discovered that, although outclassed by the Japanese Zero, it could absorb a great deal of punishment and, thanks to some great pilots, still get the job done. This kit features actual folding wings, a sliding cockpit canopy, and a detailed radial engine [ visible through the access ports ]. The white mark on the box front in the photo is just the reflection of the camera`s flash. This kit will build into a big handsome model that is full of real `character` straight out of the box and, in this large scale, the builder has the opportunity to go in for some super detailing in order to make the most of this great kit.
