349 Carat Lot of Dyer Blue Mine Nevada Turquoise Rough This is a 349 carat lot of natural turquoise rough from the Dyer Blue Mine in Esmeralda County, Nevada. The mine produces high grade blue and greenish blue turquoise, usually in rounded nugget form. It is a classic "hat" mine, where only a limited amount of material is found each year. This mine was operated on a sporadic basis in the 70's and has been idle until we started working it in 2009. The Dyer Blue turquoise that we have found so far has already found a following with collectors and jewelers and is destined to become a Nevada classic. There are five pieces in the lot and they are all showing medium to darker blue color. This rough has been tumbled to clean it up but due to the hardness of the host rock, it will still need some trimming or grinding to fully expose the turquoise.
