GENSE SWEDEN FLATWARE PATTERN " FACETTE" 18/8 STAINLESS STEEL MADE IN SWEDEN Outstanding, Sleek, Mid-Century design! The pattern FACETTE was designed by Folke Arström in 1949. From 1940 TO 1960 Folke Arstrom was the artistic director of GENSE in Sweden. A "New Yorker" article, November 3, 1951 introduces GENSE's contemporaty flatware designed by Folke Arstrom including FACETTE. GENSE flatware was made in Sweden from 1940 to 1980. The Gense Vintage-Mid-Century patterns are Facette, Focus, Focus DeLuxe, Ranka, and Thebe. There are three different backmark: GENSE 18/8 STAINLESS SWEDEN; GENSE STAINLESS SWEDEN -SWEDEN; GENSE EXTRA STAINLESS SWEDEN F ARSTROM (one piece). The Pieces: 7 Place Knives - 8" 7 Place Forks - 7 3/8" 6 Salad Forks - 6 1/2" 5 Place tablespoons - 6 7/8" 9 Teaspoons - 5 5/8" 1 SERVING TABLESPOON - 8 3/4" CONDITION: Patina of gentle to normal use.
