I am pleased to offer this incomplete "Waring" 8-day banjo-style clock by New Haven, Conn. Clock appears to be early 20th century, with transitional nouveau-deco reverse painted glass. The image in the lower glass is severely affected by dessication and chipping. The middle throat glass is much better, and the dial cover is very clean. There are no works at all, and only one of the side rails is included. The finial is gone. A crude hole penetrates the back, indicating a previous conversion to electricity. I call this a 37" clock, but the actual length is about 33-1/2". I estimate the finial would have added 3-4", making the original length 37". The lower section measures about 11 by 9", the throat 11 by 4-6", and the dial is 8" across. It is about 3" deep. The case is made of mahogany painted gold, and the side rail is solid brass. Other noted problems: 3 of the 4 tabs for the dial glass are broken off, and minor scratches, scuffs, and paint spots are scattered throughout. Sold "as is" for parts. Please see the pictures.
