This is an auction for a set of four antique bone dishes, all with a different hand painted center decoration . Some, but not all, of the dishes carry the blue lion mark of Sonneberg. Givent hat these are all identical in shape and style it is reasonable to assume they are all by Sonneberg. The dishes are approx. 7" long and 3.5" wide. They have a crescent shape with a 3/4" wide coblat blue border accented with gold leaves. The centers are what make these special: four different hand painted scenes of great detail and wonderful color. In good condition - no cracks, chips or scratches. Some wear on the gold trim.
