Four Civil War Carte De Viste's of Union Officers of the 14th New York Volunteers. Written faintly in pencil on the 1st photo is "Capt. ***** *** 14th NY, Dead". Written in pencil on the photo of the 2nd photo is "T. Manning, *** 14 NY', also below the image in ink pen "T. Manning *** 14 N.Y.". On the 3rd card, in pencil is written "Capt. Holling***, 14 NY". On the last card, in pencil, is Lt. ****, 14 NY', below the photo on this card is written in ink "Leiut. George * Bees*, 14th Regt., N.Y. Vols.". Three of the cards have namesof photographers on the back, they are J.L. Abbott, BoobVille, N. Y.; J. G. Smith, Utica, and Wm. J. Baker, Utica, N.Y.. These carte de viste's are original and come through the estate of General James McQuade, commandeer of the 14th New York Volunteers out of Utica, New York. The cards measures approx. 4" x 2 1/2", and are in very good condition, minor soiling for the most part, one with stains to the right hand edge; these cards have never been in a photo album and are not completly flat.
