They are sparkling clean, have a glossy finish, both inside, and out, and are ready for use, or display. 3 of them are near perfect, and one has a couple minute fleabites on the top rim from stacking I am guessing. You can only detect it when you put it up to a bright light. They actually look like none of them were used, maybe only slight wear from sliding across a counter/display. You will be VERY pleased with these Fire King Mugs. They are clearly marked on the underneath with the Fire King Logo. They are very THICK, VERY HEAVY, weighing a pound a piece!
