THE APPETIZER For your shoppingconvenience, by This listing is for one 1/4 pound butter dish and lid in the "Bob White" design. The hand painted dish, which measures 7-5/8" x 4-1/8" x 2-1/4" high, was first introduced by Red Wing Pottery in 1956. This pattern was one of Red Wing's most popular patterns and they continued to produce it up to the very year they went out of business in 1967. The pattern features turquois and brown birds against a tan background with brown speckles. THE MAIN COURSE You'll find both the butter dish and lid to be in near mint condition with only extremely minimal, virtually nonexistent, and infinitesimal surface wear. (If I see even a single minuscule utensil mark or scratch, I don't list an item as mint.) The décor is pristine and unblemished, the colors are vivid with no fading, and the glaze shines like new. Additionally, the dish is completely free of; cracks, chips, nicks, crazing, stains, repairs, permanent hard water deposits, and detergent residue. This butter dish is in far better condition than what is typically considered to be "excellent" or "gently used". THE DESSERT At the time of this listing, I have many other items available in this pattern including some of the more hard to find pieces.
